How to connect your any email provider email to ReplyOP
Takes about 2 minutes. You only do this once.
For any email service that supports IMAP and SMTP.
We’re recording the video tutorial — for now, follow these steps:
- Find your provider's "App passwords" page
Most providers call it "App passwords" or "Application-specific passwords" — usually in your account's security or login settings.
- Generate a new app password named "ReplyOP"
Copy it before navigating away — most providers only show the password once.
- Find your IMAP and SMTP server addresses
These are usually in your provider's help docs. Common patterns: imap.yourprovider.com / smtp.yourprovider.com on ports 993 and 587.
- Come back to ReplyOP
Paste your email and the app password. If we don't recognize the domain, you'll see fields to enter the IMAP/SMTP servers manually.
Common gotchas
- If your provider doesn't support app passwords, you may need to enable IMAP first and use your regular password.
- IMAP usually runs on port 993 (TLS). SMTP usually runs on port 587 (STARTTLS) or 465 (TLS).
Your password is encrypted at rest. ReplyOP can read your email and send replies — that’s it.
